Don't eat 'em myself, but feel free to enjoy
such chalky refreshment yourself, dear reader.
Used to, suppose I could say.
Car rides, mostly; back seats. Rolaids; Tums.
Junior Mints if I was lucky.
Always preferred lucky to
good, this guy.
Rookie mistake. You don't go into detailed plans in the first
half of the damned game.
Not in love.
Not in sport.
Not in life.
And definitely not in fucking politics.
This no doubt costs HC the top spot, setting
up the showdown for MR+HC or
MR+MB for the GOP nomination facing off against
he who shall not be named.
If you, tender reader, can read any of that
shit and know its meaning, you follow
US politics more closely than I, so kudos
and huzzahs all around to you. You.
Perspective is good. For instance,
when I complete my MBA in Sustainable Business from BGI
in June of 2012, I will owe a significant financial amount
to the US government in the form of subsidized, moderately high interest student loans.
If things break right, I pay them back on time or early.
If they don't, well, after all, one must eat.
Things being what they are in the world today,
who knows what Fall 2012 looks like at this point?
And no I'm not going all Mayan on your ass.
But, being what they are on the other side of flip,
information like this helps bring today's system
into sharper relief to the 1950s and 1960s.
Harken back, fair reader, to a time when working just
under a full day paid at minimum wage
was enough to afford college tuition.
What would that look like today?
Difficult to imagine.
Rode by Occupy Portland on bike today.
To and from work through downtown.
Such as it is. Definitely a work in progress.
Both the city and the protest encampment.
Wondering, just as they, what their future
holds for us all.

Much like Karl Rove detected a tectonic shift in American politics that led the the rise of George W., BOTH parties are confused by the sociopolitical rumblings happening now.
That's why the GOP is running all over the country desperately throwing different "flavors" of candidate ice cream at us. They have no idea what to do.
But, neither do the dems. It will be an interesting election season.
We may have a two-party system, but it hasn't always been the ones we have now. There was a Whig party once.
