Movember Plus

It's that time of year again - Movember - and it's especially relevant to me this year more than ever following my brother Mark's death from prostate cancer on September 29th. I'm asking you, dear reader, to hoist out a credit card and donate a few dollars to support a lot of good organizations. Give what you can afford.

Who gets the scratch, you ask?

The Movember Effect: Awareness & Education, Survivorship, Research
The funds raised in the US support prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. The funds raised are directed to programs run directly by Movember and our men’s health partners, the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG, the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Together, the three channels work together to ensure that Movember funds are supporting a broad range of innovative, world-class programs in line with our strategic goals in the areas of awareness and education, survivorship and research.

It's a worthy cause deserving support. I'll be posting updates here and on my Movember page throughout the month as the 'stache takes place. Thanks!

PLUS!
I've just learned that a few BGI women are pledging to not shave their underarms throughout the month as a show of support and solidarity - and to help drive the fundraising efforts - for men's health and prostate cancer research. Support their efforts on our BGI Hybrid MBA Movember page. Or - donate to a Movember team for someone you know - it doesn't matter, just give.
