"May 2. Like most people, I suspect that Osama bin Laden has been dead for years, and they've just announced his death (and conveniently buried him at sea) for political reasons. Basically his continuing value, to bring Americans together against an external enemy, is now lower than the one-time value of cashing him in. Also, someone on reddit has just pointed out that Hitler's death was also announced on May 1. If you think that's freaky, try converting every letter in the names "Adolf Hitler" and "Osama bin Laden" into the number corresponding to its position in the alphabet, and adding the numbers up.
